The Salcombe flyer 440 has an open deck married to a hull drawn up by none other than Peter Birkett, the designer behind Richard Branson's Virgin Adlantic Challenger, winner of the Blue Riband. This 14 foot (4.4 metre) boat started the Flyer craze off, a small fishing boat, a tender, a runabout, a picnic boat or a club rescue boat. Gary Appleyard, a former British Offshore Powerboat Champion worked with the then builder, Watkins Boat Sales. he redrew the Flyer into a brilliant sister boat, the 530, a 17 foot 4 inch (5.3 metre) version.

The 440Tiller is the smallest Salcombe Flyer. This model is  4.4 metre (14 foot 5inches) and is intended for those that want a fishing boat for use on a lake, estuary, etc. The boat will plane with a 6  hp engine and can be fitted with any tiller engine up to 25 hp. The deck layout is deliberately open and uncluttered, incorporating a simple midship bench, anchor locker and rear seating.The hull colour is standard blue over white with yellow signage. options include luxury upholstery - white soft vinyl with blue strips, nav lights, fishing rod holders & live bait well.

The 440Sport is the smallest and original design Salcombe Flyer. At 4.4 metre (14 foot 5inches) the boat has all the handling characteristics of the  larger boats, standard fit includes dory style console and seating arrangement. This model can also be fitted with the console & seating arrangment of the larger boats - call for details. Picture shows a 440Sport  with dory specification. With a  1.65 metre beam and a well proven moderate "V" hull, the boat is ideal for those requiring a smaller boat with loosing the big boat feel. The hull colour is standard blue over white with yellow signage. The boat is supplied as standard fitted with luxury upholstery - white soft vinyl with blue strips.

The 480Sport is the mid-range boat at 4.8 metre (15 foot 8 inches) LOA. The standard boat is fitted with sports console and seating. Picture shows a 480Sport with optiona fenders and auxiliary engine. The wide beam and a well proven moderate "V" hull is identical shape to the 530. The hull colour is standard blue over white with yellow signage. The boat is supplied as standard fitted with luxury upholstery - white soft vinyl with blue strips.

The 530Sport is the top of the range 5.3 metre (17 foot 4 inches) boat fitted with sports console and seating. Picture shows a standard specification boat also fitted with carpets and dcs radio/aerial. Incorporating a  wide beam and a well proven moderate "V" hull. The hull colour is standard blue over white with yellow signage. The boat is supplied as standard fitted with luxury upholstery - white soft vinyl with blue strips.

The Salcombe Flyer range is reknowned for its build quality and for the performance of the hulls. The 600 is a new addition to the range and is 6 metres long (20 foot). The boat was designed in an italian design house.
